Trochu School Reunion classes 61-64.
July 1-3 was not reading, 'rithing, and 'rithmetic, but re-new, reminisce, and re-unite.
The school classes of 61-64 started off the weekend with a float in the July 1 parade - featuring the class of 61 who were celebrating 50 years. Riding the float were the Grade 2 teacher Joan Tullikopf, and former high school principal Ed Bardock.

The efforts of 'Cycle for Life' aid the Mennonite Central Committee in their fight to stop AIDS and to build peace in Kenya.
On Tuesday afternoon, July 5, brothers Adam and John Beriault rode into Linden on a leg of their 1500 km Cycle for Life journey around Alberta in 12 days. Funds raised support the MCC's HIV/AIDS care, prevention and educational program, as well as promote humanitarian peace efforts in Kenya.

Trochu Baptist Church Celebrates 100 Anniversary

 

"To God Be the Glory" was the theme chosen for Trochu Baptist Church's 100th Anniversary.  Celebrations were held from July 1-3 with over 250 guests registered coming from as far as New Zealand.
Trochu Baptist Church was incorporated on July 2, 1911 with 28 charter members and Rev. J.A. Mueller presiding as pastor.  Today there are 96 members and the church has seen 24 pastors and their families serve over the years with Rev. Alan and Faye Powell currently serving as Senior Pastor and Pastor

The Three Hills and District Chamber of Commerce held their annual golf tournament June 15. As par, the proceeds were donated to a local organization, and this year, the Chamber chose the Three Hills Health Center.
