Ninety-nine years ago, the Vasseur family moved from Calais, France to Canada with the promise of "the land of opportunity", like so many other immigrants in the early 1900s. The 24th Annual Pine Lake Country Fair & Sports Days, sponsored by the Crossroads Agricultural Society was held August 13-15 at Crossroads Ag Park, Pine Lake. Old-fashioned family fun for the entire family was had under beautiful blue skies.
The weekend kicked off with a great Dinner & Show on Friday night. Following the dinner, the Crossroads Ag Society was proud to present a Tribute to Johnny Cash.

The theme for Acme's 56th Flower and Vegetable Show was dedicated to the Village's Centennial Year celebration "Then and Now". In both present times and in the past it is always volunteers that keep alive and thriving, events such as the flower show, from organizers to participants and of course, the Acme Royal Purple ladies for providing the tea and squares and the youth for serving, set-up, and taking down the tables. The participation of all equals the success of 56 flower show years.
