Vintage Tractor Pull draws 45 Entries

 

The Three Hills Vintage Tractor Pull was held July 17-18 with 45 tractors taking part in the pull and eight in the slow races. Results are as follows.
Feather weight (up to 3999 lbs.): 1st Ken Wohl, Huxley - 1951 Cockshutt 30; 2nd Keith Weigum, Sunnyslope - 1949 Cockshutt 30, 3rd Dick Ross, Harmattan - 1952 Cockshutt 30.
Class 1 (4000 - 4999 lbs.): 1st Reg Penner, Three Hills - 1956 IHC 350 Wheatland Special; 2nd Dan Verville, Carsland - 1953 JD 50; 3rd Len Skjonsberg, Eckville - 1951 MM Z.

Three Hills packed for Summer Celebration

 

It was a huge weekend for Three Hills as they celebrated their annual Summer Celebration.
The Three Hills Recreation Park was bursting at the seams as about 100 recreational vehicles arrived to house weekend ball players, Provincial soccer fans and more.

Linden Fire & Rescue to hold Annual Fundraising Breakfast
Linden & District Fire & Rescue held a practice burn last Tuesday evening, June 29. A building near Main Street, behind the firehall was needing to be demolished and the firemen agreed to burn it as part of their practice regimen.
