The Village has been notified that ATCO Electric Ltd. will be salvaging approximately 1.3 km of wire from the top double circuit of their electrical lines, of which a portion is in the Village of Linden. This will result in scheduled outages for the Village to allow crews to remove the top wires safely. There will be plenty of signage and one lane closed to allow the crews and bucket trucks to work as they remove the wire. Currently, the top circuit is a “dead line” that has no power and feeds no customers but it is a safety concern. If the top wire was knocked down it could contact the bottom “live” circuit and possibly touch the ground causing a major hazard to the community.

The portion in Linden is expected to take place over 2 days, 4 hours each day. ATCO is committed to ensuring that the project is handled safely and with the least impact as possible. An automated notification to customers preferred contact method will be run by ATCO.

The following schedule has been released:

Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (noon) - Outage would affect residents/businesses West of the Coulee.

Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (noon) - Outage would affect the entire Village.
