TAX ASSESSMENT NOTICES

Village of Linden assessments were mailed out March 6, 2024. Please review your property assessment notice carefully. Before filing a complaint/appeal, please discuss your concerns with the Village Assessor Rod Viske at 403-343-3357. You have until May 13, 2024 to file a complaint. Notify the Village Office immediately if any information on your assessment is incorrect or if you have not received your notice yet. After speaking with the Village Assessor, if you wish to challenge your property assessment, you must file your complaint within 60 days of the assessment being issued to: Clerk of the Assessment Review Board c/o City of Red Deer, Box 5008 Red Deer, AB T4N 3T4.

2024 EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

PUBLIC WORKS SUMMER STUDENTS

The Village is accepting applications for Seasonal Employment positions as Public Works Labourers. Main duties include indoor/outdoor clean up, mowing, painting and weed maintenance. Two positions to start July 2024 through to the end of August. Open to applicants ages 15-30 years, 40 hours per week, $15.00/hr. Applicant must be physically fit, drivers license preferred but not required.

SENIORS ST. PATRICK’S DAY POTLUCK

Bring your favorite dish and enjoy entertainment by “The Golden Oldies” at the Care & Share (106 1 Street SE) on March 15, 2024 at 5:30 pm.

FREE TAX CLINIC

If you have a modest income and a simple tax situation, volunteers can do your tax return for you! Please call Kneehill Regional FCSS at 403-443-3800 to book an appointment at the Linden Care & Share on April 3, 2024.

OFF-LEASH DOG AREA

The Village is aware of the desire by residents for an off-leash dog park in the area. The South side of the Coulee (South of Central Avenue) will be temporarily designated as an off-leash area. We will continuously monitor the situation. Please ensure to pick up after your pet as is required throughout the Village and respect other dog owners using the area.
