AQUASIZE RESCHEDULED

DUTCH ELM DISEASE PREVENTION
- The only time it is legal to prune elms in Alberta is between October 1 and March 31.
- Elm bark beetles feed on healthy elms and breed over winter in dead and dying elm trees.
- If elm trees are pruned between April 1 and September 30, potentially infested beetles will be drawn to the scent of the fresh pruning cuts and infect your otherwise healthy elm.

Summer Labourer
(Temporary Part-Time)

The Town of Three Hills is seeking one (1) Temporary Part-Time Summer Labourer to work evenings and weekends until late September watering and maintaining the flowerpots and young trees.
The anticipated start date will be late May 2023 through the end of September 2023.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee flowerpots and young tree watering requirements
• Ability to operate a truck with a water pump system
• Monitor flowerpots and young trees and advise the supervisor of any issues
• Maintain the working area, keep it clean and orderly and remove any debris or litter
• Practice and encourage safe work behaviours
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s licence
• Required to work evenings and weekends
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Must be detail oriented and organized
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Physical demands may include, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, walking, standing and using stairs
• Comfort working in an environment with weather fluctuations
• Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, and professionally at all times
• Commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to use discretion regarding confidential matters
• Previous landscaping experience is considered an asset
