2024 Business Licenses

Invoices for 2024 Business Licenses will be sent out early January. Payments can be made after receiving your 2024 invoice.


Winter Landfill Hours started on November 7. The hours will be Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.

Holiday Closures

The Aquatic Centre will be closed from Monday, January 8, 2024, to Friday, January 19, 2024, for annual maintenance. The pool will reopen on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM.

We are looking for a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours/week), Executive Assistant responsible for effectively and efficiently supporting the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and Senior Leadership Team. This role will also interact with Town Council, outside agencies, residents and staff.

Reporting to the CAO, the Executive Assistant will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures while providing customer service to residents. This role requires a self-motivated, community-minded individual who has exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills and can be flexible and meet stringent deadlines.


• Provide confidential administrative support to the CAO and Senior Leadership Team

• Compile and distribute Council Agenda packages and take minutes during Council meetings (evening meetings)

• Research, draft, review, and complete reports, bylaws, policies, agendas, and press releases

• Assist with general Human Resources duties like recruitment, providing support for certain payroll functions, and benefit and pension system administration

• Liaise with the public and community stakeholders

• Assist with the maintenance of the records management systems

• Display a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism and diplomacy.


• Completion of post-secondary diploma in the field of business, administration, or related field

• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience or a combination of education and experience

• High level organizational skills

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Commissioner of Oaths, or willingness to obtain

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications

• Knowledge of applicable legislation including, the Municipal Government Act, the Local Election Authority Act, and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
