Take notice that the following permits for the proposed uses listed below has been issued in accordance with Land Use Bylaw and any amendments thereto, of the Town of Three Hills:

Development Permit No: 61/900.020/14 by John and Susan Hamm for Outside Sales & Storage and Warehouse Sales on Plan 7610776 and C of T 7196EA (103 and 107 - 3rd Street SE and 121 - 1st Avenue SE) Land Use Classification - C-1 - General Commercial.

Development Permit No: 61/900.021/14 by Falcon Oilfield Services Ltd, for a proposed Shop on Lot 4, Block 1, Plan 0610218 (121 -17th Avenue NE) Land Use Classification - C-1 - General Commercial District.

Development Permit No.: 61/900.027/14 by RCM Condo's Inc., for a Semi-Detached Dwelling within Condominium Plan 1411313 (Unit 16) Land Use Classification R-2 -- Residential District.

Development Permit No.: 61/900.028/14 by Impact Motion Inc. for a temporary Mobile LED Sign located on Lot 11, Block 1, Plan 9912141 (238 -17th Ave. NE) Land Use Classificaiton HWY - C - Highway Commercial.

The above permit shall become valid after a lapse of fourteen (14) days from the date of the newspaper in which this notice appears.

Anyone who feels prejudicially affected by this permit may appeal the permit by filing notice of appeal by 4:00 PM, Wednesday June 18th, 2014 and paying the applicable fees. In the event of an appeal being filed, all interested parties will be notified.

Further information regarding this permit(s) may be obtained from the Town Office at 135 2nd Ave. S. Three Hills, Alberta.

BYLAW NO. 1364-14 - This bylaw authorizes the Council of the Municipality to incur indebtedness by the issuance of debenture(s) in the amount of $172,372.00 for the purpose of purchasing a Wheel Loader.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Town of Three Hills, in the province of Alberta, has given first reading to Bylaw No. 1364-14 which will, upon final passage and approval, authorize the Council of the Municipality to incur indebtedness by the issuance of debenture(s) in the amount of $172,372.00 for the purpose of purchasing a Wheel Loader.

NOW THEREFORE NOTICE is hereby given by the Council of the Town of Three Hills that, unless a petition of the electors for a vote on Bylaw No. 1364-14 is demanded, as provided for by the terms of Section 231 of the Municipal Government Act, the said Council may pass the said Bylaw.

ALL PERSONS INTERESTED ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED and they are required to govern themselves accordingly.

Pursuant to Section 1(i) of the Municipal Government Act an "elector" means:

A person who is eligible to vote in the election for a councillor under the Local Authorities Election Act.

Pursuant to Section 47(1) of the Local Authorities Election Act a person is eligible to vote in an election if he/she:

(a) is at least 18 years old
(b) is a Canadian citizen, and
(c) has resided in Alberta for the 6 consecutive months immediately preceding election day and the person's place of residence is located in the area on election day.

A poll may be demanded in the Town of Three Hills by electors equal in number to at least 10% of the population in accordance with the provisions of Section 223 of the Municipal Government Act and Bylaw No. 1364-14 having been given first reading by the Council of the Town of Three Hills, on June 9th, 2014 in accordance with the provisions of Section 150 of the Municipal Government Act.

The petition for a vote must be received by the Chief Administrative Officer within 15 days of the last publication of this notice and shall contain on each page "an accurate and identical statement of the purpose of the petition". (Further requirements of the petition are provided in Section 224 of the Municipal Government Act).

2014 Combined Assessment and Tax Notices
Pursuant to Section 311 of the Municipal Government Act 2000, R.S.A., Chapter M-26 and any amendments thereto, the 2014 Combined Assessment and Tax Notices for the Town of Three Hills were mailed the week of May 26, 2014 to all assessed property owners. Town of Three Hills property owners are deemed to have received their Assessment and Tax Notices as a result of this publication.
Please review the property assessment notice carefully. You may contact the Town at (403) 443-5822 or Wild Rose Assessment Services at (403) 343-3357 to obtain further information on your property. The assessment roll will be open for inspection for sixty (60) days after the mailing of this notice. This information can be reviewed at the Town Office 135 – 2 Avenue SE, during regular office hours.

Methods of Payment:
You have the option of paying your taxes with cash, cheque, debit card or online banking (where available). Post-dated cheques are acceptable and payments will be processed as of the date on the post-dated cheque. Please note that the Town of Three Hills does not accept credit cards for the payment of taxes.
Pre-Authorized Payment Plan:
The Town of Three Hills offers a Pre-Authorized Payment Plan to individuals and organizations that request this option. Twelve monthly installments are electronically deducted from a designated bank account on the first business day of each month. Tax accounts on the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan are not subject to the penalties levied on July 1st, August 1st, September 1st or January 1st. PURPOSE:  The purpose is to consider an application to amend
