LANDFILL SCHEDULE CHANGE
The Town of Three Hills Landfill new hours (effective August 5th) are Tuesday – Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Additionally, please remember that the landfill can only take propane tanks if the valve has been removed to ensure the tank has been depressurized.

Waste Collection Schedule Change
Effective the 3rd day of September 2014, the Town of Three Hills will be changing the waste collection division line from First Street SE to Main Street. This is to counterbalance the division of duties resulting from the development in the southern and north eastern areas of town in recent years.
All residents north of Main Street, including Main Street, will continue to have waste collection on Thursdays and all residents south of Main Street will have waste collection on Wednesdays.

Management Assistant

The Town of Three Hills is currently accepting applications for a Management Assistant. Under the direction of the CAO, primary responsibilities will be to provide confidential administrative support and special project assistance to the CAO. The secondary function of this classification may include assisting other Management Team members. Required skills include office experience with a high understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. The greatest challenge of this position is the successful management of various projects with interruptions and deadlines while working independently. This position is expected to establish and maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications: Post-secondary education, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience with at least one (1) of which was in a municipal setting.
This is a permanent full-time position. Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day.

The Economic Growth Committee is authorized to advise and make recommendations to Council on ways and means for fostering the Town's economic growth within a framework of sustainable growth that takes into account these other lenses of sustainability: built infrastructure, social and cultural wellness, community-engaged governance, and environmental stewardship. Municipal Grants to Community Not-For Profit
Organizations and Volunteer Groups
Application Deadline for 2015 Grants is September 30th, 2014 at 4:00 PM

Council, of the Town of Three Hills makes available, modest financial support to not-for-profit organizations and volunteer groups within the municipality which render a service to the residents of Three Hills. This support is provided in recognition of the value these organizations and groups provide to the well being and growth of the community and in helping the Town of Three Hills retain a strong community focus.
Guidelines and application forms for the awarding of municipal grants to community not-for profit organizations and volunteer groups who apply to the Town of Three Hills for general operating and/or capital project assistance are available online at www.threehills.ca or at the Town Office.
All grant requests will be assessed in terms of the need for the project; cost effectiveness, financial viability, contribution to the quality of life in the community and community involvement / response.
