DEVELOPMENT PERMIT:
Take notice that the following permit(s) for the proposed use(s) listed below has been issued in accordance with Land Use Bylaw 1458-20 and any amendments thereto, of the Town of Three Hills:
Development Permit – Cannabis Retail Sales Store – No: 21-D0006 by Manpreet Brar on Lot 7, Block 14, Plan 4304AH (414 Main Street) Land Use Classification: C2 – Commercial Central District.
The above permits shall become valid after a lapse of twenty-one (21) days from April 16, 2021, being the date, the Municipal Planning Commission made its decision on.
Anyone who feels prejudicially affected by these permits may appeal the permits by filing notice of appeal by 4:00 PM Friday, May 7, 2021 and paying the applicable fee. In the event of an appeal being filed, all interested parties will be notified.

Aquatic Centre Senior Lifeguard
The Town of Three Hills is seeking an individual to join the team at the Aquatic Centre. Reporting to the Aquatic Centre Manager, the Aquatic Centre Full-Time Senior Lifeguard will provide quality swimming, fitness, and other programs and services to participants in a safe and enjoyable environment. This position will assist in the enforcement of facility rules, safety, and instruction of all users in the facility. This is a Full-Time position requiring seven and a half (7.5) hours per day, thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hours per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Adhere to processes and policies in support of municipal goals and legislative requirements;
• Ensure the safety of the public and maintain the facilities;
• Provide management with accurate and timely information to ensure facility operations are maintained in an effective and efficient manner;
• Work cooperatively with the management team and support other departments;
• Prevent dangerous situations and recognize the signs of emergencies while taking appropriate actions;
• Practice and encourage safe work behaviors; and
• Perform basic math calculations.
The preferred candidate will possess:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum education equivalent of grade 10;
• Minimum 16 years of age;
• Current National Lifeguard (NL) Certification – Pool;
• Current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification;
• Current Lifesaving Instructor (LSI) Certification;
• Current Standard First Aid & CPR Certification;
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public, supervisors, and coworkers;
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions;
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English;
• Ability to use discretion regarding confidential matters;
• Ability to work evenings, and weekends, and variable hours to account for seasonal or operational requirements; and
• Ability to obtain Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association (AFLCA) training.

Reporting to the Aquatic Centre Manager, the Aquatic Centre Instructor is to lead activities and provide quality swimming programs in a safe and enjoyable environment. This position will assist in the enforcement of facility rules, safety, and instruction of all users of a public swimming facility.

• Ensure the safety of the public and maintain the facility;
• Provide management with accurate and timely information to ensure facility operations are maintained in an effective and efficient manner;
• Work cooperatively with the management team and support other departments;
• Prevent dangerous situations and recognize the signs of emergencies while taking appropriate actions;
• Practice and encourage safe work behaviors;
• May be required to perform general pool and equipment maintenance;
• May be required to perform general cleaning duties throughout the facility;
• May be required to greet public and respond to telephone inquiries in a professional manner; and
• Perform basic math calculations.
