Energy Codes Now In Effect
November 1, 2016 was the enforcement date for both the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings (NECB 2011) and Section 9.36 of the Alberta Building Code 2014. Buildings and homes built after this date must meet or exceed the new codes.
