CAO Announcement!!
The town council of Trochu is delighted to announce the appointment of Carl Peterson as our new CAO. Carl has filled the role of Interim CAO for the last 2 months. Council is impressed by how well Carl has risen to this challenge! Carl has been Director of Operations for the Town of Trochu since 2005 and has always been a dedicated, hardworking employee. Summer Employment Opportunity
Trochu & District Museum
Trochu and District Museum is hiring a summer student to assist the curator for the 2014 tourist season. Post-secondary student preferred, but high school student could qualify. Job runs from May 1st to August 31st, 2014. Position depends on acceptance of museum's application for a Canada Summer Jobs grant. The Town of Trochu with a population of 1072 is an agriculturally based community with rural oilfield development. The Town is host to a large meat processing plant owned by Sunterra Foods. Trochu is located on Hwy 21, Highway 585 and close to the junction of Highway 27. It is within easy driving distance to major centers such as Olds, Red Deer and Calgary. The Town of Trochu has an excellent working relationship with Kneehill County, the Town of T
