RCMP Respond to 209 Calls to Service in October

Three Hills RCMP responded to 209 calls to service in the month of October.

There was only one 911 hang-up, three abandoned vehicles and 11 assault files with one person being charged, five victims did not proceed, three cases were unfounded and there was no evidence in two cases.

There were two assaults with a weapon, both resulted in charges. There were four warrant apprehensions, three assistance files to Red Deer County Peace officers, EMS and Child and Family Services, two breach of peace and nine fail to comply with a court order. Police are investigating three break and enters to businesses in Three Hills and one in Delburne. There were two break and enters classified as other and four residential break-ins (two were unfounded).

There was one break and enter to steal a firearm, one child welfare act, 11 RCMP member community involvement, one landlord/tenant act, four criminal harassment files (one unfounded) and one cultivate/harvest cannabis (unfounded), three dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, two discharge of a firearm while being reckless, two causing disruption and 11 drive while disqualified (oe charged).

Two people were charged with failure to remain at the scene of an accident, there were two false alarms, two flight from a police officer, two cases of fraud over $5,000, one identify theft, seven items lost/found, three liquor acts, seven mental health, three mischief/damage to property and four mischief obstructing enjoyment of property (two unfounded).

Police processed 35 traffic tickets, one bylaw, five impaireds (two unfounded, two provincial sanction, one operating a motor vehicle while prohibited (charged), three other provincial (landlord/tenant, etc.) and one person defecated in a flower barrel in Three Hills (he was made to clean it up).

Police are investigating three thefts under $5,000 (one unfounded), three people were reported missing (all located).

There was one possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl in Three Hills, one possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking and one possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (charged).

There was one possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 (unfounded), one roadside suspension - drug related, one robbery with firearm, one sex offender compliance check, one sex assault, one suspicious vehicle, one taking a motor vehicle without consent and two thefts of bicycles.

There was one theft of a car (unfounded), one theft of electricity, two thefts of other motor vehicles (one unfounded), one theft of an SUV (recovered), two stolen trucks (recovered), one shoplifting and one theft from a motor vehicle.

There were 23 traffic collisions (deer/moose), four trespassing act, four uttering threats (one charged), one file of voyeurism, eight well-being checks and one street check.
