Three Hills RCMP Respond To 249 Calls To Service In July

Three Hills RCMP responded to 249 Calls to Service in the month of July.

There were six 911 hang-ups, three abandoned vehicles, one abduction contravening the custody order - unfounded and one animal call (moose).

There were five assaults with one charged - three declined to proceed while one is still under investigation.

Three Hills members assisted Calgary Police Service and CN Police. There were nine warrant apprehensions, one unlawfully at large - unfounded, one breach of peace, one breach of trust - victim declined, six break and enter to businesses, one cottage break and enter and three others (garage or sheds).

There were four residential break-ins - two unfounded, one careless use of a firearm, two causing animals unnecessary suffering, two sudden deaths, five criminal harassment - two unfounded, one dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

There were two causing a disturbance, one dangerous dog act - the victim declined to proceed, and one person was charged with driving while disqualified.

There was one false alarm, one family order and assistance act, one fire prevention act- charged, one person was charged with forcible confinement and there was one forgery.

RCMP dealt with three frauds over $5,000 and two under $5,000, one harassing communications, two identity frauds - one unfounded, one information file theft, seven items lost and found, two liquor act - one charged, six mental health, eight mischief damage to property - one declined, one unfounded, and nine mischief obstructing enjoyment of property - two declined.

There was one missing person (located), eight bylaw violations, one flight from police, eight operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol-one charged - three unfounded, one landlord/tenant act and 10 thefts under $5,000 - two unfounded.

One person was charged with resisting/obstructing a police officer, one roadside suspension for alcohol, one sex offender registration act, one sexual assault, one suspicious person/vehicle and two vehicle thefts-both recovered.

There was one unfounded cattle theft, one unfounded motor vehicle theft, and three truck thefts - one unfounded and one shoplifting file.

Police are investigating one theft from a motor vehicle, one theft/misuse of a credit card, 17 collisions (mostly deer), one trafficking crystal meth, and 10 provincial trespass acts - one victim declined to proceed.

There were two trespass at night, one possession of a forged document, four uttering threats - two victims declined to proceed, five well-being checks and four street checks.
