Three Hills RCMP Respond To 213 Calls To Service In August

Three Hills RCMP responded to 213 Calls to Service in the month of August.

There were six 911 hang-ups, two abandoned vehicles, one abduction of a person under 14 - unfounded, four animal complaints (dogs) and 10 assaults - three charges.

There were two files on assisting the general public, six assisting Provincial agencies (Medicine Hat police, CN Police and EMS), one assisting United States police, one being unlawfully at large - unfounded, one being unlawfully in a dwelling house- unfounded and one breach of peace.

Police dealt with five break and enters to businesses - two victims declined to proceed - one was unfounded, and there were two sheds or garages broken into.

One Kneehill County residence was broken into, there was one careless use of a firearm, one causing animals unnecessary suffering, one Corrections and Release Act, six warrant apprehensions, one criminal harassment file, and two dangerous driving - one charged and one disobeyed order of court - unfounded.

There were three causing a disturbance, one victim declined to proceed, one dangerous dog act, 36 traffic tickets, two emergency protection orders, and one extortion without a firearm.

One person was charged with failing to remain at an accident scene, six fail to comply with a court order - one unfounded - three charged, five false alarms, one family order and agreement, two fraud over $5,000 - one victim declined to proceed, one fraud under $5,000, one harassing communications - victim declined to proceed and one information file.

There were eight lost/found items (mostly bikes), one kidnapping without firearm- unfounded, eight Mental Health Acts, three mischief damage to property - one unfounded, six mischiefs obstructing enjoyment of property - one victim declined to proceed, three bylaws and one flight from a Peace Officer.

Police dealt with five impaired (alcohol) - one Provincial, three Landlord/Tenant Provincial files, six theft under $5,000 - one unfounded, one missing person - located, one possession of crystal meth, one possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and one over, one possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, one sexual interference - unfounded and five suspicious person/vehicle files.

Police recovered one stolen truck, there was one theft from a motor vehicle, two injury collisions, 17 other collisions (mostly deer), one Provincial Trespass Act- unfounded and one trespass at night.

There were six uttering threats against a person - one charged - three declined to proceed, one weapon possession contrary to order and failure to surrender authorization - one charged, 11 well-being checks and one street check.
