As Promised, The Sun Shines On Cruise Weekend

Cruise East to West 2024

The sun did shine on Cruise Weekend 2024.

Downtown was very active with Friday evening’s Meet and Greet. The Lunch With Friends fundraiser barbeque saw a line of supporters that could be called “The Big L” on its own. A nice addition, this year, was live music by “The Usual Suspects”. At 6:45 pm the cruise began through Three Hills with 127 cars and trucks. The procession headed north on Highway 21 to Trochu, and then back to Three Hills.

Saturday morning started early as the Show and Shine began to fill up and vendors hurried to open for business. The Knox Church fed 223 people.

Spectators poured into town from all directions to check out the vehicles of special interest. The Three Hills Street Freaks registered 600 vehicles and estimated another 200 plus vehicles of special interest parked on the side streets.

This year’s 1/8th Mile Bracket Races saw tremendous crowds turn out to support the annual event.
