Marz Announces Retirement

After over 30 years of public (16+ municipal and 14+ provincial), I have decided to retire from politics and, therefore, will not be seeking re-election n the next provincial election, which may be in the spring of 2012. I will continue to be your MLA until that time.
The reason for announcing now is to provide ample time for anyone who wishes to seek the nomination, to use the summer events to get out and meet the people of Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills and for the people to become familiar with all the candidates prior to a nomination that will be held sometime this autumn.
I would also like to thank all the constituents of Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills for their tremendous support, especially all those who have served on the Board of Directors and on my campaign teams over the past 14+ years in provincial politics. Your support and prayers are very much appreciated. Because of you, our organization is stronger in all aspects that it has ever been.
My wife Jan, and I look forward to seeing many of you over the summer months.
Thanks again
Richard and Jan Marz
