A 20-year career of serving Three Hills residents at Canada Post came to an end on Thursday, September 17, 2026, with the official retirement of Sharon Schmidt.
Sharon got her start at the Three Hills Post Office in May of 2006 as a casual worker. That would last five years until she moved up to a part-time position. In November of 2015, Sharon became a full-time postal employee, and only one week later Sharon was promoted to Lead Hand following Steve Readman’s transfer to Victoria, British Columbia.
Sharon says, “She will miss the constant flow of people.” “Lots of real characters have come through the post office over the years”, said Sharon. Sharon added, “Three Hills is a caring community with a good bunch of people”. Best of luck, Sharon, on your retirement. You will be missed.
