Busy weekend for Three Hills RCMP

Three Hills RCMP responded to 55 calls for service which included two stolen vehicles from Three Hills and multiple vehicles being entered. Three Hills RCMP are asking residents to please lock your vehicles and do not leave your keys in the vehicle as this only makes the process easier for the criminals. Police are actively investigating these matters and looking for the public's assistance with any information that would identify the person(s) responsible for the theft from vehicles in Three Hills. Please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police. The only way we as a community are going to be successful in apprehending these criminals is if we work as a team and the community must report suspicious activity to your police service. The Three Hills RCMP are working long hours trying to stop these individuals but we need your help to be successful and keep our community safe.
The Three Hills RCMP made multiple arrests over this period which included:
1. On June 23, 2010 Tyler Cox, 20 years old, was arrested for Impaired, Fail to remain at the scene of a MVC, dangerous driving, breach probation, possess marihuana, and multiple traffic safety offences. He was remanded in custody and attended court in Drumheller on Friday June 25, 2010 and plead guilty and received a three month jail sentence.
2. On June 25, 2010 a female youth was arrested in Trochu for breach of the peace and assault. The female was released to her parents with no charges laid.
3. On June 25, 2010 an adult male was arrested on Hwy 21 in Delburne for impaired driving. The male was taken to Red Deer for breath samples where he refused to provide breath samples. The male was charged with refusal and impaired driving.
4. On June 26, 2010 an adult male was seen in the Village of Delburne traveling at a high rate of speed and going south of Hwy 21. Sgt. Sangster went to stop this vehicle and the vehicle drove through a ditch and smashed into a tree. He then crawled out the driver's window and fled on foot. The male was located by canine and charged with impaired driving, drive over .08, dangerous driving, and obstruction.
5. On June 27, 2010 police were called to a domestic near Three Hills and an adult male was arrested for assault and uttering threats. The male was remanded in custody.
6. On June 28, 2010 police were called to a disturbance near the Three Hills Christian Academy and located 5 males damaging property. The five males were arrested for mischief and released the next day with a court date for the Drumheller Provincial Court in August.
