Rehoboth Christian Ministries Annual Fundraiser Dinner on February 8, with guests and clients, numbered just under 200 present. The program, in addition to the delicious meal, included speeches, a silent auction, and the presentation of posters to 20 clients recognizing their interests, goals and dreams.
Ron Bos, Executive Director of Rehoboth Christian Ministries gave a brief account of where the ministry has been in developing the vision and facilities or the "making room" as "Rehoboth" means, and now they are going to emphasize the second part of the verse (Genesis 26:22) that mentions how the people will "flourish in the land." Debbie Dietz, The Director of the Three Hills Rehoboth services, in picking up the theme of the evening, of "Picture This", invited all those present to consider or "picture" where they might fit in partnership to share their skills and interests in workshops or instruction, or other involvements that will help the clients to "flourish".
Master of Ceremonies, Steve Ibbotson, did a masterful job of keeping the program going and prompted those interested in the silent auction items to bid generously. Proceeds from the evening, supper tickets, auction and donations will go toward the purchase of security equipment for the Rehoboth office complex and the New To You thrift store.
