What does Three Hills Victim Services do?

We are volunteers who have extensive training and work under the direction of the Three Hills RCMP to provide support, information and referrals to those dealing with the impact of crime or tragedy. Our calls can range anywhere from family violence, car accidents, sudden death and suicides, to property crime and court support.
When you have been a victim of a crime and are looking for help, we may be able to assist you. In cases where court proceedings are necessary, the process might seem overwhelming to some. With our help, we can help to guide you through, update you with things like....has an arrest been made? When is my court date? Can I apply for restitution? How do I do a Victim Impact Statement?
The Three Hills Victim Services Association provides onsite, immediate response to individuals and families whether it be at 12 noon or 3 am. Because many of the issues that we deal with can happen at any hour of the day, we are on call 24 hrs every day. Our program is volunteer based with most of our funding coming from grants and fundraising done in our local community. In the last six months of 2010, we assisted 132 individuals in our community.
We are now planning our 8th annual Steak and Lobsterfest dinner and invite you to come out to an eventful evening complete with a delicious steak and lobster dinner and a live and silent auction with entertainer, Danny Hooper. Please see the Coming Events section for more info.
