Every Child Matters honors and recognizes lives of 215 children

Every Child Matters

Ruth Brown with help from Paul Brown and Cherie Laplante organized an event at the Three Hills Water Tower Park Monday evening to “honor and recognize the lives of the 215 children from the Kamloops Residential School” whose graves were discovered this past week.

Participants were encouraged to tie orange ribbons on several trees.

Much has been said and will be said about this revelation.

Ruth expressed her feelings in these words:

“These little ones were taken from their families too soon and taken from this earth too soon. It is our duty to remember and observe this horrific tragedy that is part of Canadian history.”
