Three Hills RCMP nab Prolific Property Offender with assistance from SAD CRU

Three Hills RCMP with assistance from the Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit immediately responded to a suspicious vehicle just outside Trochu, Alberta. Three Hills RCMP conducted a traffic stop with the suspect vehicle and arrested two individuals. In an attempt to avoid apprehension, the female driver impersonated another person and provided their identity. The female was properly identified by police and is currently serving a conditional sentence order.

Three Hills RCMP, executed the search warrant on the vehicle and located imitation Glock 19 hand gun, Hatchets, plastic crossbow and a small amount of crystal meth. Three Hills RCMP also located stolen property inside the vehicle along with break and enter tools.

Sarah Doumont (34) from Calgary, Alberta has been charged with:

- Resists/Obstruct Peace Officer

- Identity Fraud

- Operation while Prohibited

- Possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000 x 3

- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose

- Trespass on premises

- Driver uninsured motor vehicle on highway

- Driver motor vehicle with expired licence plate

Following judicial hearing, Doumont was remanded into custody to appear in Drumheller Provincial Court on November 12th, 2021.

Travis Birch (41) from Calgary, Alberta has been changed with:

- Possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000 x 3

- Fail to comply with release order condition x 3

- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose

- Permit person with suspended or disqualified licence to drive a motor vehicle

- Trespass on premises

Birch was released and is scheduled to appear at Drumheller Provincial Court on November 26th, 2021.
