Once in a Lifetime: Wimborne Woman Wins Dream Home

 

It's been an "overwhelming" couple of weeks for Wimborne resident Danielle Robertson since she discovered she won the grand prize dream home in the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation Hospital's Home Lottery.

The old light standards along Main Street, Three Hills are being replaced with 40 new ones. The process is set to take a couple of weeks, and will see some of the old lights used at Anderson Park. It was time for replacement, as no parts were available for the worn out units. In a joint project with the Town, ATCO Electric will own and maintain the 150 watt high pressure sodium lights.

Replacing the roof of the Linden Seniors Care and Share facility is slated to begin early July 2011. Shingles will be discarded in favor of off-white metal roofing. Donations were received from Kneehill County and Encana totaling about $8500 and there is also the donation of some labor from Key West Construction.
