On July 7th, 2011, Three Hills RCMP initiated a criminal investigation after receiving a complaint of an assault.  Police learned that on July 6th a 14 year old female and two friends were walking through a residential area in Trochu Alberta when they engaged in a verbal argument with a local resident.
A group of people exited the residence and assaulted the 14-year-old female by kicking and punching her.  The female received minor injuries as a result.

Fire Destroys Home

Emergency crews received a call for a structure fire southeast of Trochu June 29th around 10:30 am. Trochu Fire responded with their water truck and pumper. Three Hills Fire and Rescue was called and responded with their pumper and water truck, along with Torrington Fire, and an oilfield water service truck from Willco, and Kneehill EMS.
