Edmonton... Following an independent third-party review of the Kneehill Animal Control and Rehabilitation Centre Ltd. (GuZoo), the Government of Alberta has issued a seven-day limited permit to the zoo as part of a decommissioning directive. Decommissioning involves closing of the zoo as a licensed facility. The permit does not allow visitation from the public but maintains the zoo as a regulated facility to enable discussions on decommissioning to proceed.
