Kneehill Regional FCSS Annual Report presented

At Monday July 19th's Council Meeting, Shelley Jackson, Director of Kneehill Regional Family and Community Support Services presented the 2009 Annual Report.
The FCSS is a multi-municipal preventive social program that focuses on enhancing the well-being of individuals, families, and communities throughout the Kneehill area. They achieve these goals through volunteerism, consulting, and providing services to meet needs where they exist.

Arlene Morton, with the Royal Bank of Canada presents Jacqui and Ernie Goddard with a cheque for $598.00. The couple are Ambassadors and volunteers for STARS Air Ambulance. The money was raised at RBC's annual community barbecue. In 2009, STARS flew seven missions from Three Hills. Since started in Calgary in 1985, STARS has flown over 19,500 missions.

The Little Train that could, and always has
Ken Sanderman has played a key role in making the annual Three Hills Kid's Carnival such a memorable event. Ken built his own scale model train, complete with cars that enables him to provide rides, at special events, to kids of all ages.
