Hardware Store Robbed

At approximately 4:46 am on Thursday, March 3, Home Hardware Building Centre in Trochu was the site of a break and enter. The police report states that two pickups backed up to the business, broke the glass on the doors facing Arena Avenue, and gained entry. Once inside, the thieves took thousands of dollars worth of inventory. They made a large mess within the store, centered around the till area, and tried to pry open the safe, without success. Trochu Trails

Trochu Centennial Trails received a generous donation of $10,000 from the Trochu Elks Club. The 2011 project proposal includes 2.7 kilometers of paved trails with landscaping that will link special points of interest throughout Trochu, while encouraging the entire community to lead active, healthy lifestyles.
