Rural Alberta's Development Fund (RADF) has announced it is accepting applications for program funding again. The company will distribute the balance of its funds (approximately $30M) over the next 18 months to satisfy its mandate.

Arson suspected in late night barn fire
Acme Fire Department was dispatched to a fire on the east side of their Village Saturday evening, around 11:30 pm. Linden Fire & Rescue was called in for backup, as was Carbon. Carbon was asked to stand down when firefighters realized upon arriving at the scene that an old abandoned barn was already fully involved.

The ground breaking ceremony for the new Kneehill County maintenance shop took place on August 17th. The shop is to be built at the same site as the existing shop, and building will begin immediately. Completion is estimated in late spring of 2011.
