Servus Credit Union donates $10,000 to Spray Park

 

Servus Credit Union contributed to a better world for the residents of Three Hills with a $10,000 donation to the community's Spray Park. Marlene Mullinger, Servus Branch Manager presented the funds to Norm Campion of the Town of Three Hills on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Also in attendance were Three Hills Mayor Tim Shearlaw, Councillors Al Campbell, Ron Howe and Harold Leo, and Chief Administrator Officer Jack Ramsden, Ron Watson and Pat Dau.

Along with thousands of ceremonies world-wide, the Bethel Evangelical Church held a Remembrance Day service on November 11. The church was filled to capacity with those paying their respects to war heroes, past and present. A number of war veterans were in attendance, along with members of the Three Hills Legion, Three Hills Elks, RCMP, Town, County and family representatives wishing to lay wreaths in remembrance.

Linden Walking Path Committee receives $75,000 Grant
Richard Marz, MLA for Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills presented a cheque to the Linden Walking Path Committee on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010. On hand to receive the $75,000 grant from the Community Initiatives Program were Darwyn Moon, Mayor of Linden and Lloyd Ratzlaff, Committee member.
The walking path is a local community project, sponsored by the Linden & District Agricultural Society. The path runs east from the senior's lodge to the nursing home and is just over one mile in length with a shade

Rollover results in fatality

Monday, November 15, 2010, 3:45 am, Three Hills RCMP were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 21 near Elnora, Alberta. Elnora Fire Dept and Kneehill County EMS also attended the scene.
As a result of the investigation, it is believed that a white 2005 GMC Sierra, driven by a lone male, Eugene Edelmann, 47 years from Stathmore, was traveling south on Hwy. 21, went into the east ditch and rolled multiple times.
