Linden Fall Fair and Trade Show

At last Saturday's show, over 80 tables filled Dr. Elliot School Gym, overflowed into the hallway, and down into the Linden Cultural Center, anxious to attract the attention of the patrons.

Debbie Barkman, Principal of Trochu Valley School, along with Marlene Frere, Graduation 2010 Coordinator, present Paula Kowalchuk, Treasurer of Trochu Hall Society, with a cheque in the amount of $2,010. The funds were donated by the 2010 Graduating Class, along with an additional $500 donated by Safe Grad 2010, which will be put towards a new projection screen for the hall.

After serving as Postmistress for 36 years in Trochu, Connie Fraser decided it was time to retire. Coffee and a special cake was served to customers, on November 5th, who stopped by to wish her well.

Acme Daycare received one part of a two part modular facility that will be set up right behind the existing daycare. This building will be larger, allowing the child care center to accommodate more children. 34 children, ages 1-6 can now be registered, as opposed to the 19 allowed in the smaller center. The old building is destined to become a place for the after school program.
