Drumheller RCMP Issue Fraud Awareness Alert:  RCMP Phone Calls

Drumheller RCMP advised that on October 5th and October 6th, 2023, a total of 4 residents of Drumheller and nearby Starland County reported suspected fraudulent phone calls. In each case, the complainants received an automated voice message advising that the message was from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, a Critical Incident had occurred, and to press “9” for more information.

Historic Dinosaur Fossil Discovery At Horseshoe Canyon

On the 13th and 19th of October 2023, staff from Kneehill County’s Parks & Agriculture department worked in tandem with experts from the Royal Tyrell Museum of Palaeontology to carefully unearth large dinosaur fossils from Horseshoe Canyon—a site owned and operated in part by Kneehill County and the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
