Nacmine, Alta. – In March 2021, the Drumheller RCMP Crime Reduction Unit began a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation (CDSA). The investigation lead to the seizure of what is believed to be quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, as well as proceeds of crime.

Kneehill County Council report

Kneehill County held a regular meeting of council on Tuesday March 9, 2021, which was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Reeve Jerry Wittstock.

Kneehill County Council reduces Council Compensation

At the March 9, 2021 Council meeting, Council approved Policy 3-1, Council Compensation and Expense Remuneration.

Council first reviewed and discussed policies relating to Council compensation at the January 26, 2021, Council meeting. A draft policy reflecting the changes made during this discussion was then brought forward for Council’s consideration on February 23, 2021. Trochu Council supports RCMP over Provincial Police Force

Trochu Town Council held a regular meeting as well as a Public Hearing for Bylaws 2021-02, 2021-03, and 2021-04, on February 22nd, 2021. The meeting was held both on Zoom and in-person in the Council chambers, and opened at 6:00pm.
