It is with great sadness that the family of Barrie Stephen of Three Hills Alberta wishes to announce his passing on December 19th, 2022. He passed away peacefully while in the care of Agape hospice in Calgary. He was predeceased by his wife Sharon and will be deeply missed by his daughter Charlotte (Perry) and two grandsons Derek and Kevin. Barrie was born in England 1944 and his great love of the sea led him to serve with the British navy until he transferred to the Canadian Navy. Barrie enjoyed camping, fishing and cooking, but his true enjoyment came from gardening. He spent his last few years at Golden Hill Lodge where he continued to garden and was always willing to offer a helping hand to others. There will be no service, donations can be given to any local animal shelter or Canadian Cancer Society.
