Roger Joseph Frere passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 68. He is survived by his wife, Donna; children Bryan (Tara), Amanda (Chad), Melissa (Darryl), Josh (Ashley); grandchildren Kate (Max), Kayla, Jarrid (Maddy), Lexus, Dyllyn, Elizabeth (AJ), Mitchell; Great Grandchildren Ashur and Taya; brothers Pokey (Cara) and Marcel (Fran); sisters Paulette (Blair), Elaine (Alan), and Rinky (Norman); numerous extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his father Pete, mother Helen, brothers Ernie and Guv and his sister Jackie. Roger was born on July 11, 1955, in Trochu, Alberta. He met Donna through a series of miscommunications and fate. They fell in love and married May 17, 1975, in Delburne, Alberta. They moved to Calgary, where Roger worked for Calgary Power and later TransAlta. He even became Mr. MOM for a short time. He then went to school for land administration where he ended up at CNRL and retired at 65. He spent his retirement enjoying his winters in Yuma, Arizona with Donna, family and friends. He would spend his summers in Calgary growing tomatoes and reminiscing with his children and grandchildren. He will be forever cherished in our memories.
