Obit Sandy Adams

Sandra Dorian Adams (Sandy Wyborn) nee Cuffe, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at the age of 74. Born April 5, 1949, in Birtle, MB, she was the fifth out of 11 children born to Harry and Elsie (Maxine) Cuffe. In 1975 Sandy ventured out to Alberta to work with her parents at the Torrington Hotel. During that time, she met her life partner Ken and together they built a home and business with their 4 children in Three Hills, Alberta. Sandra and Ken were involved in farming and cattle for many years along with their successful trucking company. Sandy was always very active in her community from the time her children were little and she loved to stay busy with curling, playing baseball with the Torrington Torrettes, and she had a passion for playing golf. Sandy always was willing to lend a hand and contributed acts of kindness to many in her community and as well as her family. She loved her dogs unconditionally and never hesitated to help those in need. Sandy could always be found chatting up a stranger or visiting people she met in the community while out and about on one of her many drives. Sandra Is survived by her life partner Ken Adams of 48 years, by her four children Cindy Wyborn, Sheldon Wyborn (Tricia), Melanie Moore (Gordon), and Frank Adams. Her remaining siblings, Derek Cuffe, Dennis Cuffe, Theresa Wishart (Rick), Brian Cuffe (Gaylene), Bruce Cuffe, and Tracey Wagner, along with her Grandchildren, Amanda Lanouette (Jason), Brittany Brown, Cody Pender, Courtney Fried (Alex), Mack Bayes (Natasha) Gabriell and Kristine Wyborn, and great grandson Hunter Bayes, and lifelong friend Gloria McRae (Jim). Sandra is predeceased by her first husband Melvin Wyborn, her parents Harry and Elsie (Maxine) Cuffe; Siblings Hugh Cuffe, Allen Cuffe, and Roger Cuffe, Son in law Oliver Bayes and lifelong friend Jean Tainsh. Sandy was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend to many, and has found her peace with God and those remaining will always cherish and remember her with love and adoration. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 12 at 2:00 pm at the Knox United Church, Three Hills, AB with Pastor Myeongman Park officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Kneehill Funeral Services Chapel, Three Hills.
