Kaechele, George Leslie~May 5, 1919 – October 29, 2010 ~It is with great sadness we announce the peacefully passing of our father, friend and long-time companion. George was born in Three Hills, Alberta and grew up in Ghost Pine Creek where he farmed. In 1942 he joined the Army Signal Corp. in Europe until 1946. After he then returned home to the farm where he married Jean Kaechele, which they had two daughters before they parted ways. George once finished farming retired to Red Deer in 1989. George is survived by his long time dancing partner of 35 years, Phyllis Stewart; two daughters, Marilyn Trentham and Edith Whittaker and one brother Carl as well as many family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #35, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday November 3 at 1:00 pm with a luncheon to follow.
