LARSON, Arnold George ~ Arnold George Larson passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 90 years at the Drumheller Continuing care Facility. Arnold was born on June 29th, 1920 in Drumheller, Ab. In 1924 he moved with his parents to Loreburn, Saskatchewan. After completing his education he farmed in Loreburn until until the family moved to Carbon in 1945. In 1963, he married Martha Nygard of Trochu, they resided on the family farm until moving in 1965 to their home northeast of Carbon. In 1976 Arnold and Martha moved to Three Hills where he continued to help on the farm and worked at Mainline Farm Sales. In 2005, they moved to the Golden Hills Lodge in Three Hills and then to Drumheller Continuing Care where Martha currently resides. Arnold fulfilled his dream of flying when he earned his pilots license and owned his own plane. He enjoyed tinkering with mechanics, golfing, fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a kind soul and gentle spirit and always helped others by putting everyone before himself. Arnold will be lovingly remembered by his wife Martha, of 47 years and two step children. Ken Nygard (Dorothy) of Carbon and Betty Anne Voytechek (John) of Three Hills, four Grandchildren: Joanne Miller (Ken), Steve Nygard, Dean Huxley (Sandra) abd Carrie Vader (Todd) and four great grandchildren: Paige and Connal Miller, Jennalee and Rieley Jensen. He is also remembered by his 3 nephews: Tom McIntosh (Lea), Mel McIntosh (Linda) and Grant McIntosh (Alice). Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Peder and Martina Larson, and sister, Lucille McIntosh. A memorial service was held on Tues. Jan 4th from Knox United Church, Three Hills, Alberta with Rev.
