NELSON, Howard Nelson

Raymond Woodrow Dau was born on September 15, 1911, in Idaho to George and Bertha Dau. Together with older brother Donald, the family of four immigrated to Canada in 1914, settling in Three Hills, AB. Ray would call Three Hills home for the next 95 years. Anderson, Frederick Geoffrey: (1919 – 2010) Geoff was born at the Calgary General Hospital 90 years ago, the 2nd child and only son to G. Fred and Violet Anderson.  He was educated in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.  Geoff moved to Drumheller with the family in the mid 1930's when they purchased a jewelry store and opened G. Fred Anderson Jewelry.  When his father died suddenly of a heart attack in 1955, Geoff suddenly became the sole watchmaker, diamond expert and merchant.
