June 12, 1926 - July 30, 2011 - David Dyck was born on June 12th, 1926, in the village of Miloradovka, one of several Mennonite settlements in the Ukraine, the son of David Gerhard Dyck and Agneta (Kroeker) Dyck. In November of 1929, along with his parents and older, sister (Helen), and younger sister (Martha) David began the long, and difficult journey to emigrate to Canada. Bergquist, Lulu - August 20, 1907 - August 2, 2011 - Lulu (Buckland) Bergquist passed away August 2, 2011 at St. Mary's Long Term Care, Trochu at the age of 103 years. She was born at the homestead farm in the Trenville District to Bessey and George Buckland. She married Eddie Bergquist (now deceased) and they had two children, son Philip and daughter Kay (Gagyi). Lulu had six brothers: Jack, Bob, Ralph, Bert, Dick, and Doug, all who have predeceased her. FRIEDA ENZIE - Mrs. Frieda Enzie passed away on August 7th, 2011 at the Stettler Continuing Care Centre at the age of 96 years. She was born October 29, 1914 at Beieseker, Alberta. As a young women she came to Trochu to work and that is where she met her husband Otto Enzie. They were married on April 8, 1942 and farmed near Trochu . She resided in her own home in Trochu until three years ago when she moved to the Golden Hills Lodge at Three Hills. She is survived by her son Roy (T

SCHIMKE - On July 26, 2011 Myron Dennis Schimke of Edmonton went home to be with his Lord and Saviour.  He leaves to mourn his wife, Brenda; children Shannon (Al) Gogol, Lynelle (Eric) Matson, Arvid (Anita) Schimke; one grandson, eight granddaughters, one great-granddaughter; four sisters Darlene (Gregg) Johnson, Miriam (John) Bertsch Mann, Nova (Ken) Strom, Joy (Ray) Martens.  Funeral services were held on Tuesday August 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ellerslie Road Baptist Church, 1060
