Lois Dafoe ~ 1931 ~ 2011 ~ Lois Dafoe passed away peacefully at South Country Village on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at the age of 79 years. Lois was born April 7, 1931 in Diamond Hill, Saskatchewan and was raised in Waldeck and Swift Current.  At the age of 16, she started working as a Nurses Aide in Swift Current and went on to receive formal training in Fort Qu'appelle.  Lois later moved to Medicine Hat for a short period of time, where she worked at the glass factory in Redcliff. &nbs

John Molendyk passed away peacefully at the Olds hospital on March 27, 2011 at the age of 87 years. John was born on December 18 1923 in Pernis Holland and was the 5th child of 10 children to his parents Jan and Elizabeth. John attended school until the age of 13. He worked for various farmers until joining the police force at the age of 18. In 1947 John and his brother Floyd immigrated to Canada. HARTY - Margaret Elizabeth Harty (nee Laughton), beloved wife of John B. "Ben" Harty, of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away on March 23, 2011 at the Uof A Hospital, at the age of 80 years, from a very brief battle with cancer. She was the loving mother of four sons and one daughter; Timothy Harty of Red Deer, Terril ( Toni) Harty of Calgary, Jordan Harty of Airdrie, Jocelyn ( Dean) Will of Calgary, and Mitchell (Jennifer) of Kevisville; and the grandmother to eight grandchildren. TOEWS - Terence Toews, husband, father and grandpa, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview Hospital on March 11, 2011 at the age of 78 years. Terence was born in Swalwell, Alberta on April 23, 1932 and was the youngest sibling of the nine children of John and Elizabeth Toews. In his early twenties Terence worked on a logging crew. He married Vera Boese in 1954 and took over his fathers dairy and grain farm. He actively farmed it for 6 years during which two daughters and three sons were born.
