Raymond Woodrow Dau was born on September 15, 1911, in Idaho to George and Bertha Dau. Together with older brother Donald, the family of four immigrated to Canada in 1914, settling in Three Hills, AB. Ray would call Three Hills home for the next 95 years. From his earliest years, Ray had a strong connection with prairie land and farming. Anderson, Frederick Geoffrey: (1919 – 2010) Geoff was born at the Calgary General Hospital 90 years ago, the 2nd child and only son to G. Fred and Violet Anderson.  He was educated in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.  Geoff moved to Drumheller with the family in the mid 1930's when they purchased a jewelry store and opened G. Fred Anderson Jewelry.  When his father died suddenly of a heart attack in 1955, Geoff suddenly became the sole watchmaker, diamond expert and merchant.

COOPER, Joyce

Joyce Cooper "Jo" of Newton Abbot, Devon, England, passed away on August 7, 2010 at the age of 92. Mum had enjoyed relatively good health until a fall in June broke her hip. Many will remember Victor and Joyce Cooper from Christmas of 1977-1980 at the Knox United Church. What a wonderful and happy time they enjoyed at the church. After returning to England, continued visits back to Three Hills with family and friends, they had considered this the best years of retired life and their second home
