Lillian Penner (Prysiazny) passed away on November 27, 2022 after a short illness. Lil was predeceased in January of this year by her loving husband of 58 years, George. She was also predeceased by her parents Annie and Bill Prysiazny; sister Helen; and brothers Al, Ed, Stan and Bill. Mervin Ernest Molnar of Red Deer, formerly of Trochu, passed suddenly and peacefully Wednesday, November 16, 2022, he was 83. Mervin was born on June 27, 1931, to Gus and Margaret Molnar. Mervin was the only son and the middle child with two older sisters and two younger sisters. Mervin was born, raised and lived almost his entire life in Trochu. Galina Mihailitchenko was born July 7, 1932, in Ukraine during the infamous Holodomor, during which more than five million Ukrainians starved to death as a result of Stalin’s plan to force Ukrainians to accept collectivization. Galina and her parents fled the Soviet Union during WWII and ended up in Denmark shortly before the war ended.
