It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evert Earl Gehring on September 8, 2026, at Three Hills Health Care Center. Evert was born November 2, 1941, to Rudy and Christine Gehring at the St. Mary’s Trochu Hospital. Evert had two siblings, Marguerite and Allan. Evert started his education at TroVal School and later attended Lindsey Thurber High School in Red Deer. He excelled in languages, learning to speak both German and French fluently. Dave was born to Bill and Gladys Strohschein on September 21, 1955, the third of six children. He spent his childhood on the family farm near Wimborne, Alberta. William Victor Gustafson’s life started in the Three Hills Hospital on September 21, 1964. Bill ended up weighing in as Chris and Lynn Gustafson’s biggest of their six babies. Bill enjoyed watching with his parents the arrival of Kathy, Jerri, Alan, Shawn and Clint. As the Gustafson family grew, so did the Gustafson mixed farm of grain, dairy, sheep and sometimes pigs, geese, ducks, chickens and BILL’S pigeons and doves.
