A thought to brighten your day:  HAPPINESS is like a kiss – in order to get any good out of it, you have to give it away!!
Some happy news to share with you is that the Special Needs Assistance for Seniors Program is starting a new benefit year and the income thresholds have increased slightly. If you were just on the border for benefits last year you might just qualify this year.  You can call the Government information line at 1-800-642-3853 or Seniors Outreach staff are willing to help you.
Speaking of willing staff to help you, Seniors Outreach now has two new staff members to do that.  They are Elizabeth Hoppins who is working in the Trochu, Torrington, Wimborne and Huxley areas and Terry Schlinker who is working to help seniors in Acme, Carbon, Linden and Swalwell.  You can reach either of them by calling 403-443-2555 or toll free at 1-888-443-2555.
Please note that the office of Seniors Outreach will be closed on Monday, August 2 for Heritage Day.
