Outreach News October 20, 2010

"When I was a younger, I wanted to change the world. I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation. When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.
Now, that I'm older, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world."
Why don't you consider how you can make an impact on the world by getting involved right where you are as volunteer.  Seniors Outreach has many opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in one person's life, the communities where we live and ultimately the world. Call 403-443-2555 or drop in to the office in the Provincial Building. We will match you up with a task that suits your skills, time frame and interests.
