Another terrific Seniors Week. It truly is “A Great Life”. Over the last week (June 2-7, 2019) we have had a number of choices for activities that seniors were able to be involved in across Kneehill County. Thank you to those who attended the Calgary bus trip, the Seniors Outreach AGM and the Scott Woods Band presentation at the CommUnity Drop-In, the many luncheons & coffee get-togethers across Kneehill County (Acme, Carbon, Linden, Trochu, Three Hills at Seniors Centres, Schools and Businesses, the Scams and Fraud presentation at the Kneehill Regional FCSS offices, the Free Bowling at Hillside Lanes in Three Hills, the Arboretum Walk in Trochu, the School music presentations, the Linden Seniors Exercise area, the 1/2 price golf in Acme, Three Hills and Trochu, and the County Tournament (pool, scrabble andcribbage) at the CommUnity Drop-In Centre. We are so grateful for the sponsorship of the many businesses who provided 20% or more coupons to be used during the week. We trust that as seniors you felt supported and had a great time!

1. SENIORS WEEK COUPON BOOKLET: Please turn in your whole coupon booklets from Seniors Week to the Seniors Outreach Main Office, to the Town Office in Trochu, to the Village Offices in Acme, Carbon & Linden, OR to our Seniors Outreach Coordinators in Kneehill South or Kneehill North as soon as possible during June 10-13/2019. We will be doing a draw from coupons used during Seniors Week for prizes on Monday, June 17/2019.
2. PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST. We will be doing a draw within the next week and awarding the winner and honorable mention with a prize. Thank to all who voted!
Trips and
Community Busing:
a. June 18/2019 – Bus is going to the “SONS OF THE PIONEERS” concert in Olds. Please buy your concert ticket(s) at the number given on the posters and book your seat on the bus/pay for this bus trip at Seniors Outreach Main Office. Anyone on the bus will be attending a ‘meet and greet’ with the Sons of the Pioneers earlier that day before the concert.
b. July 9/2019 – CALGARY STAMPEDE COMMUNITY DAY (emphasis on Seniors) trip. Please contact the Seniors Outreach Office to be placed on the list. You will be contacted regarding the trip by the trip coordinator.
c. July/2019 – CANADIAN BADLANDS PASSION PLAY – Please contact the Seniors Outreach Office to be placed on the list. You will be contacted regarding the trip by the trip coordinator.
d. RED DEER BUS TRIP – (Appointments/Shopping/etc.) – Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Call Seniors Outreach to book your space on the bus for this monthly trip. Please call early.
e. WEEKLY BUS TRIP – Each Tuesday & Thursday from 1:15 – 3:30 p.m. around the Three Hills Community.

a. Yes, BLANKETS FOR CANADA is still going strong. If you are able to donate any wool or any 8” x 8” squares (crocheted or knitted), please drop them off at the Seniors Outreach Main Office. We usually deliver these donations to a group of ladies who make blankets for the homeless and/or for other needs. Your donations are much appreciated!
b. PARKINSONS SUPPORT GROUP – held on the first Wednesday of every second month at the CommUnity Drop-In Centre at 499-3rd Ave S, Three Hills. Next meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. on August 7, 2019 and the first Wednesday of every second month after that.

• Three Hills hot meals provided Mondays to Fridays (1 meal at lunch each day) – direct billing each month by the Chateau, Three Hills.
• Frozen Meals provided in association with Wheatland Meals On Wheel to Carbon & Three Hills (elsewhere if possible) – Order forms available at Seniors Outreach Main office or through Kneehill North and Kneehill South Community Relations Coordinators (need to turn in order form and cheque by the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month if you wish an order delivered by the Tuesday of the week after the order goes in.).
• Acme & Linden hot meals provided Mondays to Fridays (1 meal at lunch each day). Direct billing each month by Westview Care Centre.
