CommUnity Drop-In Center Re-Opening: As the province of Alberta has set in motion a re-opening of activities and facilities beginning in July, 2021 – Seniors Outreach will attempt to initiate the following activity at the Community Drop-In Center in Three Hills. For our local Stage 1, the Drop-In Center in Three Hills will open for socializing and coffee ONLY from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 12 to Friday, July 16, 2021. Signing in and payment of a $2/fee, wearing a mask at the center other than when seated at socially distanced table places and hand washing/sanitizing will still be necessary – No Games will be played during this one week opening. We will move to our Stage 2 of our re-opening allowing for games and lessening of requirements, IF provincial restrictions do not become more restrictive during this initial 1 week time period and IF our restrictions are followed.
We will need to do some cleaning and re-establishing of the set up during the next week. If you have some time and may be able to help, and/or you are willing to be a volunteer hostess/host to do the opening & closing of the center/sign people in/coffee making & serving of beverages. Alberta 55 Plus: Provide opportunities for individuals over age 55 to participate in selected sports and activities ranging from team sports slow pitch, shuffleboard to pickle ball, cribbage, art and crafts and scrabble. Winter Provincial Games will be hosted by Edmonton April 7-10, 2022 and the
Summer Provincial Games will be held in Peace River June 16-19, 2022.

NOTE: Going forward in Stage 3 of the Provincial Re-Opening of COVID Restrictions for the following week – until at least July 15, 2021, our main office in Three Hills and our extension offices in Trochu, Torrington, Carbon, Acme and Linden will continue to operate by appointment only. Please call to make an appointment before showing up (403-443-2555 or 1-888-443-2555 from Carbon). The main office will continue to run from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays. This will be reassessed as further instructions are given by the Alberta Government and the Chief Health Officer.

If you have not pre-ordered the book, please call Seniors Outreach at 403-443-2555 (or 1-888-443-2555 from the Carbon area) to do so now (providing your name and phone number) and we will inform you when your copy is ready for payment and pickup. As this is also a fundraiser for Seniors Outreach, the cost will be $10/book due upon delivery.
THE COMMUNITY BUS RUN in Three Hills IS NOT OPERATING, however this is being reassessed.
The Meals On Wheels program will continue through ordering and payment (cash/cheque/e-transfer) for these orders. We would appreciate your orders and payment by Thursday after our last delivery. Each order continues to be limited in terms of WHAT ONE IS ABLE TO ORDER (10-14 Items per person) and our value of an order will be BETWEEN $80 TO $100 per person as we go forward. We continue to be able to have a limited number of orders every two weeks. Please try to have your orders in to Seniors Outreach as soon as possible. NOTE: DO NOT CALL and DO NOT ORDER DIRECTLY WITH WHEATLAND FCS….PLEASE CONTACT SENIORS OUTREACH at 403-443-2555 to make orders and to arrange payment.
The next order date will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 with the delivery date on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Remember: If yo are not able to have your order in on time for the next order date, your order will be placed on the order list for one of the next 2 order dates. If you are paying via e-transfer funds to Wheatland Meals on Wheels, DO NOT DO SO before you have provided your order to Seniors Outreach and then you will be given a date to do your e-transfer payment. MEALS ON WHEELS – HOT MEALS: Please be aware that you are also able to order hot meals for Three Hills, Acme and Linden (deliveries will be at noon hour Mondays through Fridays each week). 1 meal per day is delivered and generally the cost is $10/meal. Call Seniors Outreach to order the week before requiring the meals.
CLIENT SERVICES: Presently you will be expected to wear a mask/social distance and hand sanitize at your client appointment. Seniors Outreach MAIN OFFICE is open for regular hours –Mondays to Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Extension Offices: will provide client services in person (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY) in Kneehill North: Trochu office at Frank VanderKley’s Law Offices – presently on Tuesdays & Wednesdays (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) Torrington office at the Arena is open by pre-made appointments only Thursdays (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.). Kneehill South: Acme office at the Acme Seniors Association – Thursdays (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Carbon at the New Horizon’s Centre – Tuesdays (9:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m.) Linden at the 50+ Club (Care & Share Centre) – Thursdays (1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.) Please be aware that the doors will be locked at the extension offices. The coordinator for the extension office will let you in at your appointment time! Though the present situation continues to still be quite changeable, Seniors Outreach is taking phone calls/emails and making appointments. As such, you are welcome to email us at office@seniorso.ca or to call 403-443-2555 or from Carbon and area 1-888-443-2555 (toll free) for any assistance, to make a Meals on Wheels order, and/or to set up an in office appointment.
