THROUGH THE NEW HORIZONS GRANT by the Federal Government, the CommUnity Drop-In Center in Three Hills has had a bit of a face lift through our COVID restricted time period. New vinyl, new rugs and a new wheelchair accessible front door have been done. We are very grateful for this changeover, the funding for it, and the time to do it. Thank you to the volunteers who helped with this project and to the contractor who completed the project. ENJOY!
CommUnity Drop-In Center Re-Opening: From Monday, July 19, 2021 onward, Mondays to Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. the Drop-In Center will be open allowing for games and lessening of requirements. Signing in upon entry and payment of a $2/fee will still be necessary. We encourage you to continue to do hand washing/hand sanitizing, however wearing a mask will be optional. Please be respectful of each other as you socialize, have beverages, and play games at the center. IF provincial protocols do not become more restrictive and there is NOT a rise in COVID cases, we may safely continue with normal activities at the Drop-In Center.
As you will notice we have a Canada Summer Jobs student that will be at the center Mondays through Fridays until August 27, 2021. She has been hired to help out with hosting/sign in, making coffee, opening and closing the center, and helping to clean as necessary.
Volunteer hostess/host: We will need volunteers to host/hostess on Saturdays in July and August. If you are willing to be a volunteer hostess/host to do the opening & closing of the center/sign people in/coffee making, and some minimal cleaning, please contact Seniors Outreach at 403-443-2555 and leave your name and phone number. Without a host/hostess on Saturdays for the Summer months, we will not be able to be open on that day. Thank you for your help!
