This past Friday, five XC Runners from the Pilots team, plus Coach Saulo and Vanessa Dyck, Head of Delegates, made the long trip to Truro, Nova Scotia for The Nationals Competition held for the first time in 13 years in Atlantic Canada. Saturday's races were hosted at Dalhousie Agricultural Campus.
Prairie College finished 14th on the men’s side which had close to 100 runners. Nathan Johnson’s time was 28.27, for 44th, 52nd place for Lony Repetski time 29.03, Elijah Miller time 29.21 for 56th place and Judah Sutherland 30.00 for 64th place. The Pilots average time was 29.13. Josie Bennett the lone girl on the team ran a time of 26.42
Coach Saulo had this to say after the weekend, “We were, for sure, the team that improved the most during this season in The ACAC, and all of our runners did their personal best during the CCAA Championships, something that we planned to achieve during our practices. Also, all of our male runners did the 8K in 30 minutes or less, confirming our place among the best teams of the league.”
