Thrashers ready for Regular Season

The Three Hills Thrashers appear ready to begin their regular season and be very competitive in the Heritage Junior B Hockey league after a solid pre-season. The Thrashers concluded their exhibition schedule with a 7-1 win over the Stettler Lightning on Sunday afternoon in Three Hills. On Saturday night, the Thrashers battled hard against the Vipers in Red Deer and managed to skate to a 4-3 overtime victory as Corbin Weston notched the winning tally in the extra session. As a result of the two wins, the Thrashers wrapped up their exhibition schedule with a record of 5-1-1.
The Thrashers open their regular season with a pair of games on the road this weekend, playing in Stettler on Friday night and then in Red Deer on Saturday evening. The home opener takes place on Friday, October 8 as they once again host Stettler before heading to Cochrane to face the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year the next evening.
